Leisure centre spin marathon raises hundreds for Comic Relief
Posted on Friday 15th March 2013 at 7:57 pm by SH (Editor)Two spin instructors have raised hundreds of pounds for Comic Relief by staging a sponsored cycle in the foyer of Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre today.
Fitness supervisor Jon Booth and gym manager Sam Holmes began the marathon at 6am this morning and planned to continue until 8pm this evening, allowing themselves only the occasional toilet break of a minute or two.

The pair set out to raise £250 but the generosity of the leisure centre’s customers means that as much as £750 could be achieved by the end of the event.
Local businesses have also contributed, with Drive Vauxhall of Patchway leading the way with a donation of £50.
Donations can also be made online, through Jon and Sam’s Red Nose Day ‘Giving Page’.
