Discover Festival events at Bradley Stoke Library

South Gloucestershire Discover Festival 2014.

Local residents have to chance to enjoy four further Discover Festival events at Bradley Stoke Library over the coming ten days, before the South Gloucestershire-wide event draws to a close at the end of October.

The remaining events are:

Thursday 16th Oct 7.30pm at Bradley Stoke Library
An evening with best selling author Tim Weaver
Featuring missing persons investigator, David Raker, Tim Weaver’s books have topped the best selling and Kindle charts – discover more about his work and writing. Suitable for age 16+. Ticket only event (book here). Cost: £2 payable on the door. Refreshments available

Thursday 23rd Oct 3pm – 5pm at Bradley Stoke Library
Meet Bristol DAWG rescue (Greyhound and Lurcher rescue)
Bristol DAWG rescue, rehabilitate and rehome ex racing greyhounds and ex working lurchers. Please pop along and meet some of our dogs.

Battlefield: The History of Polio – a talk with Gareth Williams
Gareth Williams tells the incredible story of polio since ancient times to today’s front line of the battle to exterminate polio. Age: 16+. Ticket only event (book here). Cost: £2 payable on the door.

Saturday 25th Oct 2pm – 4pm at Bradley Stoke Library
Get writing with Ali Bacon and Pauline Masurel
Join local authors Ali Bacon and Pauline Masurel for a fun and informal workshop for those with some writing experience or anyone who would like to make a start. Age: 16+. Ticket only event (book here).

The festival is organised by South Gloucestershire Council, local residents, community groups and businesses.
