Thwaites’ shire horses were at Bradley Stoke’s Willow Brook shopping centre yesterday (Saturday 1st October) as staff at the Aztec Hotel & Spa celebrated winning a top hospitality award.
The horses came down from Blackburn to deliver a celebration ale for people to enjoy after Thwaites won the AA award for Hotel Group of the Year.
Aztec Hotel & Spa is one of the company’s six hotels and they have all spent the week celebrating after receiving the award on Monday night.
The award is presented in recognition of the hotel group that has a proven track record of striving to ensure the very best levels of service, food and accommodation across the range of properties.
It is the second time the Thwaites-owned hotels have won the award, which is a feat only achieved by a small handful of hotel operators.
General manager at Aztec Hotel & Spa, Gareth Ireland, said:
“When it comes to hotel awards, it doesn’t get much bigger than this, as the AA is a leading authority in the industry, setting standards of quality.”
“We are all delighted with the news – particularly as the awards are much sought after, so to be named as the winner is an incredible achievement.”
“I’d like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Aztec Hotel & Spa who work tirelessly to create amazing guest experiences. Their attention to detail and passion for hospitality are what helps us maintain our high standards – and ultimately helped us achieve this award.”
