  1. So the questions to ask …

    – why build the Stoke Gifford bypass after messing about with Aztech West and Bradley Stoke Way for two years, and not before
    – which surveyors where initially used that could not locate Gas and Water mains
    – is all this work worth it for three buses an hour
    – is all this worth it for no fast link to Bristol Parkway and the new MetroWest services

I’m sure many people have questions …

  2. I attended the meeting, and found it very informative.

Many people are concerned by the delays cause by the lost gas and water pipes, and consequential delays. Jack Lopresti has undertaken to investigate on financial responsibility for this delay, because utilities are required to keep accurate records, and as they are only 30 years old ….

The future sounds promising with all complete in Bradley Stoke within 2-3 months, with the only possible hiccup being Rabbit Roundabout, will it have hidden pipes? Who knows? Stoke Gifford bypass will be open mid summer and Metrobus running by laste summer, early autumn.

The negatives are the lack access to Bristol Parkway, unless you get a Metrobus to Harry Stoke, and change to another from Emerson Green to BPW, cost and no operator.

It would help if there was a combined bus, metrobus and local train ticket that was reasonable
