The average grade per entry has increased from a C grade to a B grade this year and there were some particularly stand out results in the following subjects:

  • 50 percent of grades in maths were A*-A
  • 67 percent of grades in chemistry were A*-B
  • 65 percent of grades in business and art were A*-B

Headteacher Steve Moir expressed his pride in the students’ achievements:

“Our students worked incredibly hard and showed real resilience and commitment to achieve these results. I would also like to extend my thanks to our dedicated staff, who always set high standards and have provided our young people with every opportunity to fulfil their potential. We would like to wish everyone receiving their results today every success whatever they choose to do next.”

Assistant headteacher and director of Post-16, Tom Hill, was delighted with the spectacular results:

“These results have come as a direct result and reward of the relentless commitment and effort that students and staff have put in over the past two years. I am thrilled that all their efforts have paid off and we wish them the very best for the future.”
