Bradley Stoke Youth FC U11 Whites enjoy a training session just before lockdown.

Bradley Stoke Youth FC (BSYFC) have been busy preparing for the safe return of football across all age groups, after a prolonged break due to the national lockdown. The return to training and games from April onwards will provide a much-needed platform for boys and girls to re-unite with teammates and friends to play football in a fun, safe environment.

However, during the lockdown coaches have continued in earnest to keep the children engaged, active and developing their football skills. Many teams have been running online Zoom training; either with fitness sessions or ball control sessions. Our newest team, the U9 Girls, who only formed just before the lockdown, have participated in weekly training sessions of ball control and fitness, which they have thoroughly enjoyed and have allowed them to continue to get know each other. Other teams have run online quizzes and provided football education whilst they haven’t been able to train as normal.
