Pink Days at Refelctions Hair Salon, Bradley Stoke, Bristol

Every Saturday during October 2010, staff at the award-winning Reflections Hair Salon based at the Willow Brook Centre, Bradley Stoke will be holding ‘Pink Days’ to support Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Dressed in pink, staff will be offering clients pink cupcakes and pink refreshments, and holding a raffle to win a pair of GHD Original Hair Straighteners worth £119.  The limited edition Pink GHDs (sold with a gorgeous raffia bag and compact mirror) are already on sale at Reflections with £10 from every pair sold going to charity.

Hannah Fox, Reflections Salon Manager, commented:

“As hairdressers, we often see the effects of cancer first hand and can sometimes provide the service of confidant as well as stylist. ”

“In a female orientated industry, it is a charity we feel strongly about supporting so we are really looking forward to welcoming our Bradley Stoke clients, turning the salon pink, having some fun and raising money for this worthy cause throughout October.”

A further two stores are now trading in Bradley Stoke’s recently opened Willow Brook Centre.

Reflections (hairdressing salon) opened its doors yesterday (Tuesday 14th), while Costa Coffee begins serving the general public this morning, following a “preview session” for selected guests yesterday afternoon.

Opening offers at Reflections include £10 off hair styling (ask in store for full details). The salon also hosts a nail technician, which is a first for the group, says marketing manager Karen Lovell.

Costa Coffee manager Clare Whiteside-Knott is already looking forward to the festive season, with plans to offer a Christmas-themed range of products and gifts.

Greggs the Bakers have told The Journal they plan to open their store in the Town Square on Thursday (16th October).

The supermarket group is looking for “various managers” for the new Tesco Extra store that is currently under construction and scheduled to open in “late autumn [2008]“.

Salaries for the management positions start at £21,000. Benefits include a pension scheme, a profit share scheme and a staff privilege card giving a 10% discount on Tesco purchases.

The closing date for applications is 19th June 2008.

The only other company to so far confirm a presence in the new town centre is Reflections Hairdessing [first reported in The Bradley Stoke Examiner]. A source at the company confirmed earlier this year that they will be opening a salon in one of the mall units attached to the new Tesco Extra store. The Reflections website currently states simply that “experienced stylists” are required for Bradley Stoke. Potential applicants are instructed to contact the company for further details.
