Re-Launch party at The Swan Hotel, Almondsbury, Bristol

[Advertising Feature] The Swan Hotel in Almondsbury is now under new management and will be staging a relaunch party on Friday 18th November from 6pm to celebrate.

With a totally new and different concept to what was previously there, the new management team at The Swan is hoping local residents will come and join them to see what is going on. On the night they have live jazz from their house band who’ll be in residency every Friday night from the 18th onwards. They’ll also be giving away free bubbly and canapés as well as taking bookings for tables to try their all new menu.

Using fresh, seasonal and local produce the menu offers fresh fish off day boats out of Brixham, as well as meat from Easter Compton Farm and local fruit and vegetables. In addition to the à la carte menu, on 18th November they’re offering a six-course tasting menu for just £25.

Bookings can be made by calling The Swan Hotel on 01454 625671.

Bradley Stoke hotel named as hotbed for illicit affairs

Hilton Hotel, Bradley Stoke, Bristol

The Hilton Hotel in Bradley Stoke has been named the most popular destination in the south west for couples having affairs.

The Bath Chronicle says the Woodlands Lane hotel heads the results of a survey carried out by what is claimed to be the biggest online dating website for married people and those already in a relationship.

Convenient links to the M4 and M5 motorways are said to make the venue attractive for those seeking an illicit rendezvous.

A spokeswoman for the dating website told the paper:

“The survey results show that the south west’s cheating spouses prioritise convenience of location and economy over luxury and a romantic setting.”

The Thwaites shire horses visit the Aztec Hotel & Spa, Bristol

A pair of shire horses visited the Aztec Hotel & Spa yesterday as part of an event to showcase the hotel’s cooperation with local suppliers.

The award-winning Thwaites Brewery shire horses were the centre of attention at the hotel in the Aztec West Business Park, where stalls from companies including Hobbs House Bakery (Chipping Sodbury) and Pieminister (Bristol) offered free samples to visitors.

The horses also visited the Lodge on the Park hotel and Starbucks coffee shop, also in Aztec West.

A spokesperson for the Aztec Hotel said:

“We’re proud to support local suppliers and work with them throughout the seasons as we develop our menus so we can showcase all that’s great about the south west.”
