The Finance Committee meets ten times a year and makes decisions and recommendations to Council on all financial and policy matters under the discretion of the town council. This committee also is responsible for personnel matters and will be responsible for ‘best value’. The press and public are welcome to attend. Come along and have your say during the 15-minute ‘public questions’ session at the start of the meeting. BSTC Planning Committee Meeting

The committee meets once a month and makes recommendations on all planning applications within Bradley Stoke to the planning authority (South Gloucestershire Council) and considers all associated planning, footpath and licensing issues. This committee also considers matters relating to the local environment in general, including litter, grass verges, pavements, roads and other similar matters. The committee acts as a vehicle to consider, discuss and recommend solutions to health & safety issues affecting Bradley Stoke Town Council. The press and public are welcome to attend. Come along and have your say during the 15-minute ‘public questions’ session at the start of the meeting.   • Local orchestra The Gifford Ensemble rehearses on Sunday evenings from 7.15pm at The Trust Hall, North Road, Stoke Gifford. The Ensemble is currently a small group, but our ambition is to grow into a full orchestra. If you’re interested, please get in touch and come for a trial rehearsal – it’s a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere with an emphasis on enjoying the music!
