This Saturday: Willow Brook Christmas lights switch-on with CBeebies’ Andy Day

CBeebies presenter Andy Day (of Andy’s Dinosaur Adventures fame) will wow the children of Bradley Stoke when he switches on the Christmas Lights at Willow Brook Centre this Saturday (21st November).

Andy, who is starring in Snow White at the Bristol Hippodrome, will light up the town centre alongside Father Christmas at 5pm.

Shoppers who complete a special Christmas trail around the shops will be able to enter a prize draw for the chance to win one of four sets of family tickets to see the Hippodrome show.

The fun packed day, compèred by BSR 103.4FM, starts at 11am with live music in the town square and food from Bert & Gert’s Markets. There will be a special performance at 4.15pm by local musician Julia Barrella, recent winner of the Bradley Stoke’s Got Music talent contest.

Santa will also open his grotto at 11am. Tickets are £4.50, which includes a present. The grotto will be open at weekends only up to 19th/20th December, then daily from Monday 21st to Wednesday 23rd December.

Princesses from Frozen.

Inside Willow Brook, there will be lots of great free entertainment from juggler Steve Kaos and balloon sculptors Balloonatic. There will also be walkabouts from a roller skating robin and a Christmas pudding.

For Frozen fans, there will be the chance to meet the Princesses and a snowman. There will also be a free children’s workshop to make Christmas crafts.

Christmas market at Willow Brook

On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November a Christmas market will give shoppers lots of present ideas with unique handmade and vintage gifts. The market will be open from 10am to 5pm (4pm on Sunday).
