Mayor and locals grab a slice of the action at Bradley Stoke’s Hollow Tree

Bradley Stoke Mayor Roger Avenin joins in on the pizza action with Hollow Tree head chef Kane Addis.

The Hollow Tree pub/restaurant in Bradley Stoke hosted a VIP menu taster yesterday evening (Thursday 28th January) to give the local community the chance to tickle their taste buds with the latest additions to its existing ‘Two for One’ menu.

Town Mayor Roger Avenin was keen to get in on the action as well, joining local businesses and locals who had all come to sample the brand new pizza menu.

Hollow Tree manager Matt Bolton says he is delighted the community has embraced the latest additions to the menu.

“The pizzas seem to be going down a treat with our customers! It was great to see so many people from the local council and businesses joining us for our VIP launch night.”

The thin crust pizzas are topped with a rich Italian tomato passata sauce, hand finished to order with a variety of toppings, creating favourites such as ‘Lets Brie Havin’ You’ and ‘Ham-ma Mia’, then baked to crisp perfection right before your eyes. Kids can join in too, with all the taste packed into half the space with the likes of ‘This Little Piggy’, ‘Kickin’ Chicken’ and ‘Butchers Boy’.

The calzone style desserts are also proving to be really popular and not just with the kids. They also join the regular ‘Two for One’ menu favourites such as burgers, steaks and daily specials; continuing Marston’s commitment in providing quality food at great value.

Domino's Pizza - now open at the Willow Brook Centre in Bradley Stoke.

Domino’s Pizza has opened at the Willow Brook Centre in Bradley Stoke, creating 35 jobs.

The local pizza delivery expert has taken a 1,400 sq. ft. unit that was formerly Simpson’s Fish & Chips in the Town Square.

Willow Brook Centre Manager Scott Lahive said:

“We are really pleased to welcome Domino’s which will be great for visitors to the centre and also serve the local community with its delivery service. It’s great to see another food operator so keen to move into the centre.”

Domino’s Manager Perry Ghandi said:

“We opened a little earlier than planned which we’re all really happy about. It’s only our first week but we’ve had a great response from the Bradley Stoke community so far.”

Opening hours of the new store are advertised as “10am to late”, seven days a week.

Domino’s Area Manager Salil Sahni confirmed to The Journal that the store would be trading until 5 o’clock in the morning. The firm’s home delivery vehicles will park on the Tesco garage forecourt to avoid any potential disturbance for residents of nearby properties, he added.
