Customers of the Tesco Express convenience store at Baileys Court in south Bradley Stoke have complained of being poorly informed about a near four-week temporary closure of the shop that began on Sunday afternoon (17th October 2021). The closure is understood to be needed for an “extensive refresh” of the store to be carried out.

May 2021 by-elections cost town council over £15,000
The total cost of staging by-elections in May 2021 for two vacant seats on Bradley Stoke Town Council has come in at a staggering £15,187. The charges, levied by South Gloucestershire Council, which administers the local aspects of all elections, fall on the town council to pay.

A top-end bike store in Bradley Stoke is offering a “big reward” after four mountain bikes believed to have a total value in excess of £16,000 were stolen in a brazen burglary. The thieves smashed a glass door panel and were able to grab the bikes and make off before on-site security staff arrived at the scene.

The Thursday Green Gym group continues to grow. The volunteers’ recent tasks have included making a figure (Little Miss Muffet) for Bradley Stoke’s summer scarecrow trail and constructing an insect hotel at the Braydon Gate entrance to the nature reserve (at the southern end of Brook Way).
