The current plan for the “scaled down” festival weekend (as outlined in a report to a meeting of Bradley Stoke Town Council’s Leisure, Youth & Amenities Committee due to take place on 22nd February 2023) is as follows:
The event will be renamed Community Weekend and will take place on Saturday 10th June and Sunday 11th June. Our thinking so far is:
Saturday 10th June – low key community picnic (organised by BSTC staff) combined with a possible youth football festival organised by Bradley Stoke Youth Football Club (it is their 25th anniversary this year) – awaiting confirmation of this from Bradley Stoke Youth Football Club committee
Sunday 11th June – the Sole Sisters 10K Run in the morning and a Colour Run organised by The Brightwell in the afternoon
Skatepark event – not sure yet which day it will be taking place (either Saturday or Sunday) but will likely be expanded to cover the graffiti art project and possible circus skills etc. and will be based at the skatepark.
Bradley Stoke Radio have offered to support us as much as they are available over the weekend.
From a report to the April meeting of Bradley Stoke Town Council’s Leisure, Youth & Amenities Committee:
We are currently organising our usual Skatepark Competition/Jam as part of the slimmed down Bradley Stoke Festival. This will be on Saturday 17th June and, alongside the usual comps, will include our popular Street Art activities (normally held on the main festival site).
