What’s on at Bradley Stoke Library, July 2024:

  • Rhyme Time – most suitable for babies aged 0 to 17 months (weekly on Mondays*)
  • Story Time – for toddlers and pre-school children aged 18 months to 4 years (weekly on Fridays*)
  • Special Saturday Rhyme Time – for menfolk with young relatives aged 0 to 5 years (Saturday 6th; see below)
  • Chatterbooks reading group for children aged 7 to 11 years (Tuesday 2nd; see below)

Chatterbooks

Chatterbooks groups are where children have a great time talking about what they are reading and take part in fun activities inspired by the best children’s books.

They are free and are for children aged 7 to 11 years old.

The group meets on the first Tuesday of the month, from 4pm to 5pm.

Free drop-in session for children aged 7-11.

Summer Reading Challenge

Join the 2024 Summer Reading Challenge at the library for lots of fun!

It’s FREE and all children aged 4 – 11 are invited to take part! Children read any books they enjoy over the summer holiday to collect stickers (some of the stickers are stinky!) and rewards including a medal and certificate.

Join the 2024 Summer Reading Challenge, Marvellous Makers at a South Gloucestershire library during staffed hours from Saturday 6th July finishing by Saturday 14th September and pick up your FREE activity bag.

Open Access Hours (unstaffed)

Use the library when staff aren’t there with Open Access.

Open Access is the system that lets you into library buildings at times when they are not open with staff. Library members can complete a quick one-off Open Access induction session to register to use Open Access. You can then let yourself in during Open Access hours when staff are not working.

During Open Access you can use the free wi-fi and computers, including printing. Access online e-resources; collect reservations, issue, return and renew items and pay charges using the self-service kiosks. Use the library to meet others, read and study.
