Hope for Morgan quiz, organised by Specsavers bradley Stoke.

A Bradley Stoke opticians recently pledged to support Hope for Morgan during 2015 and will continue its fundraising efforts on Friday 19th June with a pub quiz.

Specsavers, based in the Willow Brook Centre, is holding a charity quiz night at Little Stoke Social Club from 7.30pm. Teams of either four or six can enter for £3 per person with all money going to Hope for Morgan, a charity set up to support local boy, Morgan Walker, 11, who has cerebral palsy. Teams are asked to register before the event at the Bradley Stoke store or Little Stoke Social Club.

Ed Stanleigh, store director at Specsavers in Bradley Stoke, says:

“With the help of customers and passersby, we managed to raise a fantastic £253 from our first charity event for Morgan. It was also great that we could welcome Morgan and his family into the store to share their story.”

“The team has put in a lot of effort so far and we hope to continue our fundraising right through 2015, with some really fun events coming up later in the year. So if you fancy yourself as a bit of a quiz master, please come and show your support while doing your bit for a local cause.”

Hope for Morgan was set up by Morgan’s parents, Zoe and Darren Walker, to help raise money to fund his treatment, while raising awareness of his disease. Although there is no cure for Morgan, the money raised will provide him with an operation to improve his quality of life.
