Do you know someone who deserves to be recognised for outstanding community engagement and personal achievement in the Bradley Stoke, Stoke Gifford, Little Stoke or Winterbourne area?
Three local businesses, the Willow Brook Centre, Bradley Stoke Journal and The Hilton Hotel have teamed up to launch the Stars of the Stokes awards, a set of community awards for the local area.
Nominations are being sought in eight categories: Star Teacher, Pre-School Carer of the Year, Achievement Against the Odds, Young Hero, Champion Carer, Parent/Guardian in a Million, Good Neighbour of the Year and Unsung Hero.
There’s still time to tell us about your local ‘star’, but you’ll need to be quick as nominations close on 9th April,
A double page spread in the April edition of the Bradley Stoke Journal magazine (pages 24 & 25), out this weekend, gives details of the eight award categories and provides a nomination form, or you can nominate online via the dedicated Stars of the Stokes website.
A Stars of the Stokes awards evening will take place in May at a Black Tie event held at the Hilton Hotel in Woodlands Lane, Bradley Stoke.
The eight award categories are sponsored by local businesses including Aztec Hotel, Almondsbury Garden Centre, Olympus Academy Trust, Specsavers, Dunkley’s Chartered Accountants and LV= (Liverpool Victoria).
