A Bradley Stoke-based charity which supports people living with chronic neurological conditions has been given a financial boost after housebuilder Wain Homes Severn Valley held its annual golf day. The event at The Kendleshire Golf Club in Coalpit Heath, saw 100 golfers from the construction industry take part and raised an impressive £11,000 for The Brightwell.

Fourteen-year-old Pearl Bruford from Bradley Stoke baked up a storm in 2021 for the second year running, raising £943 for the Brightwell Centre in Wheatfield Drive. Pearl began baking at the start of lockdown in 2020 as a way to raise money for the charity, which provides therapies, services and support for people living with long-term neurological conditions.
