A Bradley Stoke man has helped raise more than £32,000 for a local charity by completing in an ultra-distance running race across the Alps. Hotel staff raise funds for Tots’ charity appeal
Staff at the Hilton Hotel in Woodlands Lane, Bradley Stoke, have raised £952 towards the Cots for Tots charity appeal. Employees raised the money through two 5km sponsored walks. The Cots for Tots appeal is raising £1 million to provide four life-saving cots and a new intensive care suite at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital Bristol.

Battle of the Bands Final gets the crowd swaying
Last night’s Battle of the Bands Final saw Thornbury group Cassette emerge as victors in front of a sell-out crowd at Bradley Stoke Community School (BSCS). The five-piece band, whose members all attend Castle School Sixth Form, clinched the £200 prize after topping the audience vote, which took place after each of the nine groups/artists had performed a six-minute set.
