The weather looks set fair for the Bradley Stoke in Bloom (BSiB) group’s Big Spring Clean and March workday tomorrow (Saturday 15th March). Why not get involved and help improve your local neighbourhood?
Here’s what Gillian Rodger and Sara Messenger wrote about tomorrow’s event in the March edition of the Bradley Stoke Journal magazine:
Our next workday will be held on Saturday 15th March. BSiB are participating in the national, well-established Big Spring Clean which encourages communities to clean up their neighbourhood. We are meeting at 10am in the car park at the Doctor’s Surgery, Brook Way. We will supply litter pickers, bags and gloves.
In the afternoon, we will be installing a Community Herb Garden by the Brook Way Activity Centre. If anyone has any spare herb plants and would like to donate them, please contact us. The whole day will run from 10am until 4pm.
To really make an impact throughout Bradley Stoke, we need more support on our workdays and any help offered would be much appreciated.
If you are able to come along, for all or part of the session, you will be made very welcome – feel free to bring your own hand tools and gloves; all other tools are provided. Bring a packed lunch; tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.
For further information, please email us at bsib@hotmail.co.uk, phone us on 07582 634107 or follow our Facebook page.
Further Big Spring Clean events will take place in Bradley Stoke on Saturday 29th March (organised by the Friends of Jubilee Green) and Saturday 5th April (organised by the Three Brooks Nature Conservation Group). More details can be found in The Journal’s What’s On guide.
