Bike thief jailed for 15 months

An 18-year-old who stole a £1,000 road bike from a property in Sandy Close, Bradley Stoke has been jailed for 15 months by Bristol Magistrates. Ronald Frost, formerly of Filton Avenue, Horfield but now of no fixed address, also asked for a series of burglaries in Bradley Stoke to be taken into consideration. Read more: Bristol Evening Post

Town Council to consider going green

Conservative-led Bradley Stoke Town Council is considering going green by purchasing an electric vehicle for use by its maintenance staff. The Council currently operates a red two-stroke pickup van from its Brook Way Activity centre. The van can often be seen on the town’s roads en route to the Council’s other centres at Savages Wood Road and Baileys Court Road.
