Bus timetable and route changes from Sunday 3rd September 2023

Bus passengers in Bradley Stoke will see a number of timetable and route changes coming into effect from Sunday 3rd September 2023.

The changes affect First Bus services 73, M1 MetroBus and T1.

Service 73

As previously reported, the route of the 73 service is being extended, at off-peak times only, to the Aztec West Business Park. It is also being merged with the former 92 service to create a cross-city route that extends from Aztec West / Bradley Stoke all the way to Hengrove / Whitchurch in south Bristol.

Service M1

The operating frequency of the M1 MetroBus service, which links Cribbs Causeway, Bradley Stoke, UWE, Bristol city centre and Hengrove, is being improved at various times of the day.

The weekday operating frequency is increased from ‘every 12 minutes’ to ‘every 10 minutes’ in the morning and afternoon peak periods and from ‘every 15 minutes’ to ‘every 12 minutes’ at off-peak periods during the day.

The Monday to Saturday late evening operating frequency is improved from ‘every 30 minutes’ to approximately ‘every 20 minutes’.

New early morning journeys will run Monday to Saturday, with the first buses departing each end of the route at 05:30 (previously 06:00).

Service T1

First Bus is introducing “punctuality changes” on service T1, which links Thornbury, Bradley Stoke and Bristol city centre.

Inspection of the new timetable shows that this mainly affects Monday to Friday morning peak journeys from Thornbury to Bristol, with the longest journey times being extended by around 4 minutes.

The last bus back to Thornbury from the city centre is now timed to leave at 23:50 on Saturdays. The departure time on other days of the week remains at 23:40.
